Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, an artist's daughter, born in Mexico was born to the music-loving parents of her family. As a child, she was exposed to lots of traditional music as well as old Boleros. She also listened to the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Additionally, she enjoys operas, and every form of theatrical performance. At age 16 she began singing and learning the piano with her mom. Flavio, a Mexican tenor of great renown began to provide her with more intense singing instruction. She continued her musical training at the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. The beginning of her professional career saw her perform with many opera choruses, chamber groups in Guadalajara. In 2000 she moved back to America. United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She currently performs traditional Latin American songs at private events as a soloist. Her passion for singing, music as well as the arts keeps her involved in local activities in both her capacity as an artist and educator. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is currently a teacher in The Performance Loft. Ana is thankful for the opportunity to share her love and passion of traditional Latin American songs with others and, in the process hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep this music vibrant and alive.Viva Mexico!
