After spending 80 consecutive days in the hospital, she went from being close to death, and then a lengthy recuperation path. Angelica underwent dialysis treatment for over a decade half before she could undergo the kidney transplant. The kidney that would be donated to her came from only her mother. Angelica and mom had an operation that was successful on the 13th of September, 2013, at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from one another.
